Hello, I personally remember the rather absurd intricacy of the first game's war mechanics. Not only did we need a neutral party to roll dice due to the fact GMs were playing the game as their own nations, but deciding occupied territory by pixel meant hilarity ensued. Fast forward to IOT IV. That was a game with a great little Cold War going on, eventually turning hot and with so many powers involved that Thorvald had to declare his despising of us all. That was pretty great. Props to Joecoolyo for being a great antagonist in the game. Extra props to my friend Vlad for establishing a furry empire that was promptly absorbed into my own. Ahhhh, and then there was Aftermath. That was quite a fun, quasi-apocalyptic world. My first and only foray into being a player antagonist. It's an awful shame Sombra de Mar's master plan to cause a nuclear winter did not happen as intended, but alas, always another time! It was still fun to be a furry dictator, though. Multipolarity remains one of my fonder games to have GMed. After several soft power models being tried by myself, I seemed to have finally found one that did the job it needed to, even if it wasn't 100% faithful to narrative. While broken espionage mechanics galore caused reactions ranging from hilarity to thanks more details: Medical Animation
